Bachman - Herr Doctor. There is news from America.
Doom - Lower your voice Bachman, these rare night blooming orchids are extremely sensitive to sound.
Bachman - A thousand pardons excellency but I thought you would wish to be told--!
Doom - of the impending marriage of the Human Torch?
Bachman - Y-you know? But word arrived just now via diplomatic pouch!
Doom - Ah, faithful Bachman, have you yet to realize the vastness of my resources? Let a word be uttered, a rumour confirmed-- anywhere in the world-- and Doctor Doom hears! Now leave me. I must decide how best to make my presence felt at the happy nuptials.
Bachman - Y-you plan to attend--?
Doom - Yes Bachman, one way or another, if only in spirit.

Officer Sheldon- A crate's just been delivered from the Latverian Embassy-- as far as we can determine it carries no electronics, explosives or toxic substances of any sort.
Sue Richards - But if it's from the Latverian Embassy then Doctor Doom is behind it. How did he know where the wedding was going to be?
Ben Grimm - Doom could probably find out what were having for breakfast tomorrow. Well, no sense delayin' the inevitable! [opens package] Hmmph! Nothin' but a buncha flowers! I'd have expected poison sumac from that creep!
Reed Richards - There appears to be a note attached.
Sue - It's in Doom's handwriting. He extends best wishes to Alicia and pledges... Oh, good Heavens... "A truce between us for as long as these flowers bloom."
Ben - A truce? From Doom? I don't believe it!
Reed - Well, Ben, Doom is a lover of the arts... and Alicia is an artist of some renown... it's probably Doom's way of showing his munificence.
Ben - If you mean he was bein' generous- I don't buy it. Threats are Doom's style not gifts.
Reed - Perhaps this was both Ben. After all, how long do cut flowers stay in bloom?
